Liebe Freunde,

zu meiner Ausstellung "All there is" in der Galerie Eigen+Art Berlin möchte ich euch herzlich einladen. Am Eröffnungswochenende des 28. bis 30. Mai 2020 könnt ihr ein spezielles Zeitfenster für den Besuch der Ausstellung unter DIESEM LINK reservieren. An diesen Tagen werde ich auch persönlich anwesend sein. Im weiteren Verlauf der Ausstellung ist die Galerie von Dienstag bis Freitag von jeweils 11 bis 14 Uhr, an Samstagen von 11 bis 18 Uhr und natürlich nach Vereinbarung geöffnet. Kommt vorbei (mit Mundschutz), ich freu mich auf euch! 

Unter Janis Joplins‘ Zitatfragment „All there is” subsumiert die Künstlerin rund vier Dutzend Monotypien und Pastellarbeiten. Landschaften, Dämonen, Maskierte, Fratzen. Portraits meist orientierungslos wirkender junger Menschen in grellen, bunten Farben. „Bilder meiner Generation, meines Umfelds“, so die Künstlerin, „eine Bestandsaufnahme unserer Zeit und unserer Stimmungen.“ Hinzu gesellen sich Requisiten aus ihrem Repertoire. Skelette, Vögel, Harlekine, Teufel. Theusners Welten bündeln Jenseits und Diesseits, Leben und Tod in einem untrennbaren, miteinander verwobenen Geflecht. Gleichsam bleiben ihre Werke als Momentaufnahmen dem Jetzt verbunden. „Unser tatsächliches Leben findet nur im Augenblick statt“, sagt Theusner. „‚All there is‘ ist die Realisation des gegenwärtigen ‚Jetzt‘-Zustandes, nichts wird in die Zukunft verlegt, alles was da ist, passiert in diesem Moment. Kunst hilft dabei, sich selbst zu erkennen und die verschütteten Pfade zu einer tief verborgenen Gefühlswelt frei zu räumen, vorzudringen bis an den eigenen Kern, an die eigene Wirklichkeit.“

please join me in Berlin at Galerie Eigen+Art and visit my first Solo Show "All there is" with the Gallery. On the opening weekend from May 28, 29 and 30, you are invited to book a special time slot for your visit of the exhibition over THIS LINK. In the course of the exhibition, the gallery is open from Tuesday until Friday from 11am to 2pm, and on Saturdays from 11am to 6pm, and of course by appointment. I would be happy to meet you in Berlin! 

Under the fragment of a Janis Joplin quotation “All there is”, the artist subsumes about four dozen monotypes and pastel drawings. Landscapes, demons, masked people, grimaces. Portraits of usually disoriented-seeming young people in garish, motley colors. “Pictures of my generation, my surroundings,” says the artist, “an inventory of our time and our moods.” Joining this are props from her repertoire: skeletons, birds, harlequins, devils. Theusner’s worlds bundle this side and the beyond, life and death in an inextricably interwoven meshwork. Her works remain as if tied to the present as snapshots. “Our actual life takes place only in the moment,” says Theusner. “‘All there is’ is the realization of the current ‘now’ situation, nothing is shifted to the future, everything that there is happens at this moment. Art helps one know oneself, clear the buried path to a deeply hidden emotional world, and penetrate to one’s own core, one’s own reality.”
